Cajun food has the holy trinity, Chinese food has it’s own. All you need is minced garlic, a little green onion and minced ginger for amazing flavor in no time.
Get your wok ready and make some yummy stir fry that your whole family will love. It’s a great way to get kids (and husbands) to eat their veggies and give mom a guilt free yummy meal.
2 tbs lite soy sauce
2 tbs stir fry sauce (I like kikkoman brand)
1 tsp siracha or more if you like it spicy
1 tbs sesame oil or veg oil
1 tbs minced ginger
2 green onion stems chopped
1 clove garlic
2 New York strip steaks
2.5 cups + veggies (I use broccoli florets, snow peas, red cabbage, julienned carrots, zucchini, bean sprouts and water chestnuts)
Marinade steaks in soy sauce, sesame seeds, 1/2 tbs ginger and siracha for at least 30 min or up to 24 hours.
Reserve marinade and trim steak of fat and cut into strips.
Chop veggies and heat wok on medium high. Sauté remaining ginger, garlic and onion in oil till fragrant. Sear steak till medium or less if you like your steak less cooked. Set aside.
Add veggies, remaining marinade and stirfry sauce. Use lid to hold in steam and Cook till tender. Add steak back in and toss with veggies.
Serve over rice or add parboiled noodles in with the steak at the end. Enjoy this healthy and yummy 15 minute meal. To save on time you can buy premixed veggies.
