Let’s talk about soap. Yes, the stuff you bathe with, wash your hands with and sometimes drop in the shower and have a game of slip and slide trying to pick it up. One of our good friends, Jaimie, owns Sweet Vi’s. A handmade soap company based in the Chicago suburbs. They make all of their soaps in her basement and they come to you perfectly wrapped with raffia.
We met her on our favorite social networking site, Instagram, then eventually met in real life at one of our baby wearing classes. She dropped off a bag of soap and told us to try it out. Alyssa tried out the pichulli bar and I tried the oatmeal. After testing it out, we also sent it to a few of our readers.
I adore the oatmeal bar and my husband doesn’t mind it either. Normally he huffs and puffs about scented soaps, but this oatmeal bar has such a warm and calming smell, he really doesn’t seem to mind it. We use it in our upstairs bathroom and it has lasted us over 2 months and counting. This would be our primary soap bar so I consider that pretty good! It leaves your hands soft and doesn’t dry them out. As I mentioned, the scent is very mild and won’t stink up your whole bathroom. I love that it’s hand made and by a mom none the less.
The ingredients are great and you can pronounce everything(this is really important to me when I buy any product I am putting on my skin). The soap is made up of; coconut oil, palm oil, safflower oil, Shea butter, ground oatmeal and a host of other natural ingredients.
She has graciously given us a few more bars to send to our readers so we are offering a giveaway.
