I am super excited to announce that this rad new seat is going to be at MommyCon starting in Philly! I am a HUGE fan of all the Maxi Cosi infant seats (and really the Maxi Cosi seats in general…read my Pria 70 review here and here), and I was super stoked to hear about the new Mico AP that will be hitting the shelves at the end of this month. With it’s super futuristic look….and plush, cushy interior your precious little one will be sure to ride in complete comfort and style in this awesome seat.
So what’s the difference between the Mico and the Mico AP? They look pretty similar, but there are some very key differences between the two seats. The Mico AP features Air Protect® technology for superior side impact performance and also features a new, easier and super clever base release design. If you look at the first picture ^^^up there, you will see 2 little grey buttons on either side of the shell…that’s the release. Pretty great right? Why wasn’t this thought of sooner!
In addition to those super fantastic features…the Mico AP, also has an upgraded cover and inserts and a flip out canopy visor for extra UV protection for your tiniest family members. Like it’s counterpart the Mico, the Mico AP will have the same stroller compatibility with Maxi-Cosi, Quinny and other premium strollers. This seat can be used from 5-22 lbs and to a total overall height of 29 inches. It’s also one of the narrowest infant seats available for those who are looking for that infant seat that can fit 3 across, this is the perfect seat for you. It’s also at a good price point coming in at $199 for the black frame and $210 for the white frame. I am so excited to be able to show this seat to all the Mommies and Daddies coming to MommyCon, and am thrilled that Maxi-Cosi asked me to write a preview for this awesome new seat so I can share it with all of you.
