Why Oregano Oil is Awesome.

I was introduced to oregano oil a little over a year ago. I honestly think it may be a miracle oil. It worked so good, at first I thought it may be a fluke. It wasn’t. It really is that amazing.

The reason I first used it because I had a horrible sore on my leg. I think it started off as an ingrown hair from shaving and turned into the grossest, nastiest thing I have ever seen. I was one day away from going to the emergency room. I actually took pictures because I couldn’t believe it but will spare you all. You’re welcome. The sore had been on my leg for about a week. I had tried hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, Neosporin, A&D anointment….ect and nothing was working. I finally turned to my Instagram friends for help. One suggested oregano oil and I figured, why not. My mom picked up a bottle for me from our local health food store. I didn’t research how to apply it and put it straight on my leg. Looking back, I may have cut it with a filler oil, like olive oil. It burned. Bad. I cursed the oil and swore if it didn’t work within a day there was no way I was going to continue to use it. Within an hour the pain had subsided and I could actually relax. The next morning it was at least half way healed! Two days later I knew it had totally worked. The only downside to using it was I smelled like the Olive Garden and the oil left spots on my clothes. Hell, who was I to complain. It was a miracle.

I’m going to share some of the many benefits of the oil. I’ve been using it for topical issues but I know my dad takes it orally for treatment of prostrate cancer. It acts like a natural antibiotic. It is also a powerful antihistamine and kills bacteria, yeast, fungus, parasites and viruses. You can use it as an oil or capsules. Some of the things you can use it for are:

  1. Bug bites
  2. Cuts, scraps
  3. Eczema
  4. Diaper rash
  5. Bee Stings
  6. Ear Aches
  7. Coughs
  8. Diarrhea/Gas
  9. Allergies
  10. Canker sores

There are literately hundreds of things oregano oil can help. I am giving you a very brief overview on some things we have used it for. Do your research and check it out! It’s worth it.

(Since I am not a doctor please do your own reasearch before you use it. Don’t do what I did and put it on straight, you are supposed to cut it with another oil)
