The Spot is a brand new local joint that serves sandwiches, salads and very yummy Mac n Cheese
I ordered the Farm Veggie Sandwich which was to die for. I love goat cheese so usually if there is anything on the menu with it in there, I will order it. I was not disappointed. I substituted the side salad for fries and there was no additional charge. Logan ordered their “Soon to Be Famous” Sliders. The meal comes with three sliders and a choice of three different styles. He chose the Classic with applewood bacon and the Caprese. He added on an additional slider which did carry a $2 up charge. His meal came with onion straws (they were awesome and I will be ordering those next time) and their homemade mac n cheese. They did have a kids menu but it didn’t have mac n cheese on it so we got Lily a side order.
The place has been hopping since they opened which is great. It is in a pretty small space but does offer outside seating. Once you walk into the restaurant you may be surprised to see that there is also an upstairs area that provides additional seating. The space itself is kind of snug so I would not classify it as stroller friendly. We just had Harper in her infant seat and carried it with us. We opted to sit outside because the weather was delightful and in AZ we need to capitalize on that. I did see high chairs but we did not use one because Lily is too big and Harper’s carseat fit in a chair.
The bathroom was very clean (and decorated really cute!) It was a family style bathroom and did have a changing table.
The service was impeccable. They were fast and super friendly. The food was clearly made to order and tasted very fresh. The prices averaged about $7 a plate.
I did breastfeed while I was there and no one seemed too upset 🙂
They do offer call ahead ordering for carry out and also will deliver with a half mile radius on their BIKES. That scores major cool points for me. Granted there is not much around that radius other than businesses but it still a very eco-friendly thing.
The Spot will definitely become a regular stop for the De Groffs.
