Win a Trip to the Babywearing World Record & A Library of Carriers!

bwwr_contestimageBabywearing enables the caregiver to keep their children close, comfortable, secure and supported while giving the wearer the ability to be hands free. Some wear occasionally, others wear daily, and part of the MommyCon and Beco Babywearing World Record is to help promote the act of babywearing in all capacities.

Babywearing Groups help their community in immeasurable ways. By lending their expertise, and passion for babywearing to their community, they are helping hundreds, if not thousands of new families embrace the practice of wearing their children.

We wish that we could bring all of you out to Los Angeles for the Babywearing World Record, but alas, that isn’t possible, but what is possible is a trip for two of your babywearing group members to Los Angeles for the Babywearing World Record and a “library” of carriers for your community to try, embrace and love for many years to come.

Thanks to our wonderful sponsors, we are able to fly up to two people from anywhere in the world to the event. Yes, you read that right. Your babywearing group will not only receive a “library” of carriers, but will also be able to represent your babywearing group at the event taking a pivotal role in setting the Babywearing World Record. Additionally, the winning group members will be able to lend their expertise to the Babywearing Lounge where they can announce winners, show off their babywearing skills and know-how, and more!

To qualify for this contest, you must be a member of a Babywearing Group with five or more members. Each babywearing group can only submit one entry. This entry comes in the form of an image, that shows what babywearing means to your group. This trip cannot be redeemed for cash (sorry folks!), and covers the winning groups expenses up to $2000, and cannot be transferred. Trip expenses include; airfare, airport transfers, hotel accommodation, and VIP tickets to the MommyCon and Beco Babywearing World Record in Los Angeles, California on October 6, 2013 for up to two people.  We will work closely with the winning group to accommodate travel preferences, but specifics cannot be guaranteed. The winning group will win at minimum the following carriers, but we will work hard to secure even more for your amazing group. Beco Gemini, Beco Soleil, Babyhaw, Ergobaby Original, Boba 3G, three Brtiax carriers and seat extenders, Catbird Baby Mei Tai, Catbird Baby Pikkolo, Pognae carrier, Comfy Joey water sling, Moby Go, Moby Wrap, Lillebaby COMPLETE, Lillebaby Airlflow, Maya Wrap, Onya Baby Cruiser, Nuroo Pocket, five pieces of teething jewelry from Gumigem and a Kokadi woven wrap courtesy of the TMD Shoppe.

The photo must contain one or more persons, but does not need to be a photo of your entire group.

A Babywearing Group does not have to be affiliated with an overarching organization, but must have at least five (5) members.

How to Enter: Submit an entry for your group through Woobox on our facbeook page. The group entry will be a photo submitted on our wall that can show what babywearing means to your group Whether it’s artsy, creative or traditional, the photo must illustrate why their group should win. After the submission period comes to a close, we will open the entries up for voting. The entry with the most votes wins!
